Angiogenic Properties of Placenta-Derived Extracellular Vesicles in Normal Pregnancy and in Preeclampsia

نویسندگان

چکیده

Angiogenesis is one of the main processes that coordinate biological events leading to a successful pregnancy, and its imbalance characterizes several pregnancy-related diseases, including preeclampsia. Intracellular interactions via extracellular vesicles (EVs) contribute pregnancy’s physiology pathophysiology, fetal–maternal interaction. The present review outlines implications EV-mediated crosstalk in angiogenic process healthy pregnancy dysregulation In particular, effect EVs derived from gestational tissues pro anti-angiogenic physiological pathological setting described. Moreover, application placental stem cells clinical reported.

Investigation of ANP Plasma Concentration in Normal Pregnancy and Preeclampsia

Preeclampsia and Extracellular Vesicles

Preeclampsia is a hypertensive pregnancy disorder characterized by development of hypertension and proteinuria after 20 weeks of gestation that remains a leading cause of maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality. While preeclampsia is believed to result from complex interactions between maternal and placental factors, the proximate pathophysiology of this syndrome remains elusive. Cell-to-...

Placenta-derived exosomes: potential biomarkers of preeclampsia

Preeclampsia remains a leading cause of maternal and fetal mortality, due to ineffective treatment and diagnostic strategies, compounded by the lack of clarity on the etiology of the disorder. Although several clinical and biological markers of preeclampsia have been evaluated, they have proven to be ineffective in providing a definitive diagnosis during the various stages of the disorder. Exos...

Plasma Level of Placenta-Derived Macrophage-Stimulating Protein -Chain in Preeclampsia before 20 Weeks of Pregnancy

OBJECT This study aimed to investigate the diagnostic value of placenta-derived macrophage-stimulating protein α-chain (MSP-α) before the 20th week of gestation for the early diagnosis of preeclampsia (PE). METHODS AND MATERIALS Two parts of this nested case-control study were simultaneously executed, and 1500 pregnant women were recruited. A total of 124 pregnant women were included in the p...
